West GA Locavore Challenge

Welcome to the West Georgia Locavores Homepage!

We are a group of people facilitating the exploration of healthy and ethical food choices through eating in-season, locally grown foods, while supporting sustainable farms and businesses. We aim to provide useful resources in support of these goals, and organized the 1st annual, month-long West Georgia Locavore Challenge in July 2012!

We're excited to build on the success of the first locavore challenge, and make the 2013 challenge an even bigger event this July. The kick-off event for 2013 is Sunday, June 30th the Amp, in downtown Carrollton, just off Adamson Sq. if you have thoughts or suggestions for this year, we'd love to hear from you.
